One of the three largest statutory health insurers in Bavaria
One of the leading statutory health insurers in Bavaria with a wide range of health services and additional offers. As part of a nationwide insurance group, it serves several million insured persons and employs thousands of staff in numerous branches. It faces the challenge of driving forward its digital transformation in order to further improve the quality of care and hold its own in a highly competitive market environment.
Initial situation:
Manual processes, sensitive data, lack of digitalization
The current process for negotiating care standards with hospitals is largely analog and labor-intensive. Many decisions require a great deal of manual effort, as sensitive data is processed and the interests of the hospitals differ greatly from those of the health insurer. This leads to a complex decision-making process that involves large amounts of money. The lack of digitalization also inhibits efficiency and transparency.
AI-supported process optimization - future-proof and efficient
Enabling a comprehensive understanding of the use of AI in complex processes through targeted workshops.
Highlighting the current state of AI technology as well as short and medium-term developments to make better use of future opportunities.
Analysis and optimization of the existing IT infrastructure for the efficient use of AI-supported processes.
Integration of data protection-compliant solutions for processing sensitive information within AI-supported processes.
Improvement in efficiency and digitalization of complex processes through the use of AI.
Initiation of concrete measures for the digital mapping of processes with a view to future implementation.
At the beginning, there was a lot of skepticism about the use of AI in our processes, particularly because of the complexity and sensitive data involved. However MORGEN has shown us how even in a traditionally manual environment, a digital transformation can be achieved step by step through smart IT architecture and data protection-compliant solutions. Their clear recommendations and targeted roadmap gave us the confidence we needed to take this path.
